PRINT IDEAS AND SAMPLES

Our first date was to the Deep, so its obviously a memory i would like to include in my book. Here are some samples of a print i did of a jellyfish to symbolize that day.

IDEAS/PROGRESS

This is how i could back a photo onto a textile technique for my memory book.

NOTES/PROGRESS/IDEAS

I will be focusing on memories that I have made with Scott over the past 8months, I will be taking ideas from a scrapbook that I have already started to create documenting our memories, however I will be backing photos onto different textiles techniques such as weaving and shadow folding. I could also make little dream catches and other embellishments to go inside too. BELOW IS A PICTURE OF MY CURRENT SCRAPBOOK.

SHADOW FOLDING EXAMPLE

This was my attempt at shadow folding, i loved it and think the outcome was brilliant, however after doing some research i have learnt that the best material to work with when doing this textiles technique is actually silk, as im guessing it holds its shape better than my example. The template for this I found in a book and simply traced it onto the fabric and sewed it up as i went a long. If i was to use this on a future design, i would have to take in to consideration that i would need a lot more fabric than normal.
